NWS:
A Wind Advisory has been posted across northern New York and all of
Vermont from 10 am through 8 pm TODAY. Southerly wind gusts to 50 mph
are possible, and may result in isolated power outages this afternoon
and evening. A cold front will sweep eastward across the region this
afternoon into the early evening hours, and will be accompanied by a
line of heavy showers, with a chance of a few embedded thunderstorms.
Some slightly higher wind gusts are possible with any thunderstorms.
The map below shows the expected peak wind speeds. Peak wind gusts
should occur between Noon - 3pm across the St. Lawrence Valley and the
northern Adirondacks, 2pm - 5pm across the Champlain Valley, and 3pm -
