Calls are coming from 802-489-0564, and customers are being asked for credit card information to prevent the power from being shut off. Hang up and notify your local police department. If you call the number back, a soft recorded voice answers "This is the Green Mountain Power Billing Department." It's not.

Just got a call to my shop in Los Angeles, CA from this number today. They have resorted to the Internet and are now placing out of state phone calls and getting info from websites so they can claim they are calling the right place. Only thing is, my LADWP bill is paid in full automatically, and the utility companies would never call on a weekend past working hours. Gave the guy nothing, and he hung up disappointed.
