Inside The Forecast:

We've got a couple of nice, spring days ahead of us before a wild weather roller coaster ride begins next week.

A quick-moving cold front will sweep southward this morning with just a few rain showers. By afternoon, we'll be clearing out, especially in our northern areas.

There may be one last gasp out of that front early tonight in our southern areas with a few showers possible.

The weekend will start out spectacularly with lots of sunshine and warm temperatures for Saturday. It will continue to warm up into Sunday, but a frontal system will be setting itself up near the Canadian border, and that could bring a few rain showers on Sunday, mainly to the north.

The roller coaster ride will start on Monday. That front will shoot northward on Monday, putting us in an unusually warm air mass . . . highs will jump into the 70s! It will be windy out of the south, though.

Then a sharp cold front will move through slowly on Monday night through Tuesday. There could be heavy rain with this front. The combination of very warm temperatures and heavy rain will certainly raise concern for flooding problems by Tuesday. We will keep you up-to-date on any potential flooding.

After the front goes by, a shot of very cold air will rush in behind it for Wednesday, which will be a chilly, blustery day with a few morning snow showers!

Hang on tight to that roller coaster safety bar! -Gary
