Last
fall Officer Norton wrote two grants to purchase much needed equipment.
With these grants the department was able to purchase: 2 mobile low and
high band digital radios, 5 digital portable radios, & 2 mobile
data computers for the patrol vehicles. These two grants together
equaled more than $24000.
The new mobile data computers will enable officers to do more paperwork from the car, run checks on vehicles and operators, and be dispatched silently to more serious calls.
