Necropsy Performed on Two Dogs - Not Gun Shot Wounds - Police Still Seeking Information

On April 13, 2014 Warden Jeffrey Whipple of the Vermont Department of Fish & Game preformed a Necropsy of pit bulls Dunkin and Diesel. It was determined that wounds previous thought to be gunshot wounds were puncture wounds sustained during a motor vehicle collision.

Both dogs were believed to be killed instantly, presumably by a tractor trailer type vehicle. Time of the collision is estimated to be around 06:30 am on April 12th.

As previously reported the dogs went missing at approximately 4:30pm on April 11th. The owner was outside with the dogs at the time they ran off and did make a concerted effort to find the dogs.

The Windsor Police Department is requesting that anyone with information contact Officer Ryan Palmer of the Windsor Police Department 802-295-9425
