AARP Tax Aide Offices Taking Final Appointments

It is not too late to schedule an AARP Tax Aide appointment in the Ascutney and Springfield areas.

AARP provides free income tax preparation for those with low to middle incomes. Returns are e-filed for fast refunds.

Although this service is provided by AARP, returns are completed for all taxpayers regardless of age.

Almost every return is e-filed and the taxpayer leaves with a printed copy of the return for their records. In the case of paper files the taxpayer gets a copy to file and a copy for their records.

Tax Aide services are available Tuesdays at the Martin Memorial Hall in Ascutney, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Springfield Library and Thursdays at the Springfield Senior Center.

To make an appointment in Ascutney, call (802) 263-5931. To make an appointment at the Springfield Library call (802) 885-3108 and to make an appointment at the Springfield call (802) 883-3933.

Martin Memorial Hall is at 5259 Route 5 in Ascutney. The Springfield Library is at 43 Main Street in Springfield and the Springfield Senior Center is at 139 Main Street in Springfield.
