At their meeting on Monday night, April 21st, the Select Board will
be focusing their thoughts on the Tenney Hill Road site. The site is
owned by the Town, contains about 33 acres and a pond with a dry
hydrant. Among the questions that the Select Board will be exploring is whether the site should be considered "surplus land" and offered for sale. A local realtor has given us a ballpark figure that the site is worth $79,000. The site is bordered by Wilgus State Park on the east and south sides and by I-91 on the west side. The Select Board would welcome the public's participation in the discussion. Among the items to be discussed are: the condition of the pond and dry hydrant, the potential for logging, use of the land for trails, and whether the land should be considered "surplus." |
