Head out to the woods this weekend to kick off Vermont’s first ever Ash Awareness Week!

There will be 13 free guided nature walks across the state on Sunday, April 27, including walks at Emerald Lake, Grand Isle, and Quechee State Parks.

Participants will be shown how to identify ash trees and learn about the Emerald Ash Borer, an invasive insect that poses a great threat to Vermont’s ash tree population.

Come celebrate the more than 160 million ash trees statewide!
