Forest Fire Warden Vacancy

Due to the death of Town Forest Fire Warden Sonny Grover, the Town of Weathersfield now has a vacancy in this position.  The new appointment would be for the remainder of Sonny’s 5 year appointment which ends on 6/30/17.

          Each Town must have a Fire Warden and Deputy Fire Warden.  The Forest Fire Warden and their Deputy are appointed by the Commissioner of Forests, Parks, and Recreation with the “approval” of the Select Board.  Darrin Spaulding is currently Deputy Forest Fire Warden; should Darrin be appointed Fire Warden the remainder of his term would become vacant.

          Any resident interested in being nominated for appointment to the position of Fire Warden or Deputy Fire Warden is asked to submit a letter of interest (by email or hard copy) to the Town Manager (townmgr@weathersfield.org) by noon on Monday, May 5^th.
