Tips from Vermont State Police - How To Be A Good Witness

Are you a victim of a robbery? Do you know what to do and what to look for? We want to help local businesses that may fall victim to a robbery by providing tips about how to be safe and being a good witness.

To increase the chances of the arrest and successful prosecution of an armed robbery suspect, we have come up with a form to guide employees through what to look for in the event they are working at the time of a robbery.

This is not an official “police report” but rather an aid that identifies what to do, what to look for, and what to listen for in the event of a robbery. These tips show people how to be a good witness, which will help law enforcement and hopefully lead to the suspect’s arrest.
