Those of us at Calvin's memorial heard the request from both sets
of Calvin's grandparents and other extended family members to not forget
Calvin's parents and brother in the difficult weeks that are still
coming for them.
Some members of the Weathersfield community have
offered to provide meals to ease that process, as have Compass School
families. We have all heard the stories of how for a time the food
arrives and there is so much of it that
some goes bad. As suddenly, the meals stop coming and there is nothing
as the bereaved family tries to rebuild life.
We have been working to
set up a system to even out the flow and continue to support the Paynes
during this difficult transition.
All you need to do is register
by typing in your email address and a password. (It's designed to send
you an email reminder that you're scheduled to provide a meal). Then,
click on a day and fill in your name and what you'll be providing (if
you know).
One of the Weathersfield coordinators of this effort
wishes to remind folks to think in terms of a family of three when
providing meals and to remember that vegetarian meals are welcome as
one family member is a practicing vegetarian.
Thanks to you all for your continuing support and generosity in this difficult time.
