The snow will already be falling in our southern counties right away in the morning. It will spread northward through the day, reaching the Canadian border by the evening commute.
By the end of the day, there will already be about 2" of snow on the ground to the north, and as much as half-a-foot near the MA border.
The heaviest of the snow will fall during the latter half of the overnight hours and into the time of the morning commute on Friday. The snow will also be blowing and drifting overnight and through the day on Friday.
The heavy snow in the morning will taper off to snow showers throughout Friday afternoon.
