Department of Corrections - Town Hall Meeting Series

The Department of Corrections has issued a press release announcing "a new series of Town Hall Meetings".

 

 The meetings are February 12, 2014 (which had already been on the agenda for awhile); June 11, 2014; and October 8 2014.

All meetings are held via Vermont Interactive Technologies and run from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm. There is a VIT site in Springfield as well as in Bennington, Brattleboro, Lyndonville, Montpelier, Middlebury, Newport, Rutland, St. Albans, White River Junction and Williston. 

DOC says that "Community members are encouraged to attend the meeting to provide feedback to the Department." 

 

The February 12th meeting will focus on the latest DOC Facts & Figures FY 2013, which you can read here: http://doc.vermont.gov/about/reports/latest-facts-figures-adobe/view. 

 

The February meeting will allow for only 45 minutes of public comments (which should be more than enough, since very few members of the public show up any more at these events).
