From the Guidance Office
Mrs. Sprague is available to meet with 8th grade students and their parents regarding the transition to high school. 8th graders may "shadow" another student at the high school they are interested in and it will be considered an excused absence. Weathersfield 8th graders will be touring Windsor and Springfield High Schools in late January or early February. Please contact Mrs. Sprague with any questions.
WS Grade 7/8 Spelling Team
WS Grade 7/8 Spelling Team came in third place overall at the Regional Spelling Bee in Manchester Center on Saturday. Our team consisted of Timothy Farren, Rand Frazer, Brooke McKeen, Skylar Swan and Ben Millard. They did an outstanding job, but were up against other great spellers as well. We should all be proud of their hard work!!
Annual Thanksgiving Basket Drive
The Service Group is hosting our annual Thanksgiving Basket drive for local families. The children are encouraged to donate any foods that will help provide a complete meal, (potato, squash, turkey, stuffing, cranberry, rolls, corn, gravy, etc.). The last day we will collect food items will be on Friday, November 22, 2013. The baskets will be distributed on November 25th and 26th. Each classroom will have a box to collect their items. The classroom donating the most wins a pizza party, courtesy of the Service Group. We would love everyone in our community to join in this collection! For more information, call the school at 674-5400.
