Starting
November 27th through December 1st, we will be participating in the
National Click It or Ticket campaign. As always, our emphasis is on
education, engineering and enforcement. This is apart of several
education campaigns yearly about proper seat belt usage. We take seat
belt usage very seriously here at WPD, and if you are found not to be
wearing a seat belt during a motor vehicle contact, you will be
ticketed. Fines range from $25 for a first offense on up to $100 for a
third or subsequent. Additionally these fines are added onto any
existing infraction that is ticketed for. Please, always wear your seat
belts!!!
