Inside The Forecast:
With heavy rain expected on Saturday (.75" to 1.25" or more) and warm temperatures (42° to 52°), we are looking at potentially widespread flooding. With the ground frozen solid, the rainwater has nowhere to go but into streams and rivers. If an ice jam occurs, the water could rise rapidly and cause flash flooding.
Also, lots of drains are iced over, and there could be local street flooding. Basements could also suffer from water getting in.
Stay aware of the situation through the weekend, and we will bring you that latest developments throughout the weekend.
