Search for Schaff Yields No New Leads, Today

Pawlett, VT – 05/06/14 – Today’s search for Jonathan Schaff, age 23 of Granville NY, along the banks of the Mettawee River on the New York/Vermont state line near Granville, New York and Pawlett, Vermont yielded no new leads. Members of Vermont State Police (VSP) Search and Rescue, VSP Scuba Team, VSP Crime Scene Search Team and VSP K9 units worked throughout the day with the New York State Police (NYSP), New York State Environmental Conservation, and Granville (NY) Police Department. NYSP will have over 30 recruits to assist with a ground search along with members from their dive team, crime scene team, K9 unit, and detectives from Major Crimes.

The Vermont State Police cannot overemphasize the importance of coming forward with information. Anyone with information regarding Jonathan’s disappearance, to please call 802-773-9101 or submit an anonymous tip to www.vtips.info or send a text to “CRIMES” (274637) with keyword: VTIPS.

Detectives in Vermont will continue to investigate the case with the Granville Police Department and the New York State Police.
