Our First Year
Nearly
one year ago, we purchased the Inn at Weathersfield with a clear vision
of its future - to become New England's Premier Culinary Inn.
Improvements & New Cooking School
With
our loyal staff, we tackled a healthy maintenance list, a long overdue
kitchen remodel, garden redesign, and the launch of our new Hidden
Kitchen Cooking Studio in the old barn loft. Our first year has brought
many causes for celebration.
Thank you for Your Support
We
know that without your support and encouragement, we couldn't have
hosted more weddings and events than ever before and watched our
business grow.
A New Chapter for Chef Jason
We
want you to be the first to hear that Chef Jason Tostrup will be
leaving at the end of Fall Foliage, October 30, to take a corporate
position at Okemo Mountain. We can all agree he is an amazingly talented
chef, but what you may not know is Jason's love and commitment to his
wife and young children. This new position will allow him to be home at
night. No more dinner shifts.
We
will all miss Jason and wish him the very best in his new position. Of
course, we've already begun to search for the next great chef to join
the inn. Stay tuned for our announcement.
Share Your Favorite Memories of Jason
We
invite you to celebrate Jason's time at the Inn by sharing your
favorite memories and photos of his amazing dinners or a favorite dish.
These will be compiled in an e-booklet during our Stick Season break
when the Inn is closed from November 3-20.
Stay Tuned
Over
these next few months we'll stay in touch weekly to recap our year's
journey, what's happening at the Inn, and to announce the new chef.
Meanwhile we look forward to serving you at the Inn, in the dining room
and tavern, and at our cooking classes during Chef Jason's final days
with us.
Best wishes and safe travels,
