What a roller coaster ride in the weather. It has been hard to plan anything with the unpredictable thunder storms.
Many
4th of July parties planned this week. Please be sure to keep your pets
safe! The 5th of July is the busiest day of the year for animal
shelters. Make sure your pets are inside... preferably in an inside room
with no windows. Leave your pets home! Even the mellowest, best trained
dog will bite.. especially in unfamiliar areas, bunches of kids running
around, things banging and flashing in the sky.
The Weathersfield Town Office and Weathersfield Proctor Library will be closed on Thursday.
The
battle of the weeds continue, but thanks to my granddaughter, Jayda,
it's one less row of overwhelming... The best part was feeding the weeds
to the chickens and pigs and seeing them so excited over our treats.
Our
adopted daughter, Courtney, celebrated her 30th birthday was last week,
so we had a surprise cookout for her this weekend. 30+ friends and
family came! Did you know that a 3,500 gallon pool can hold 14 children
at one time??? There was a few less inches of water in the pool today.
The
weather forecast for the next four days does not look promising. 60%
chance of rain and thunder/lightening. Friday and next weekend look
promising. Hopefully with all this rain the plants will be growing like
crazy when the sun comes and shines on them.
Everyone, please be
safe with 4th of July activities. Even sparklers will case a very bad
burn on little fingers. If you are drinking, don't drive. Enjoy time
with family and friends and don't forget to thank the founding fathers
for what they did for our country, so very long ago, in 1776, declaring
independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.
