ROUTE 131 ROAD PROJECT HAS STARTED

Please take caution when traveling on Route 131.

Notice of road work/delays-
Crews will start milling on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, on Route 131 at the Ascutney Fire Department and work their way west for about four (4) miles. Once this section is milled, they will go back to the NH border and mill along Route 12/131 to the I91 Interstate exchange. Milling operations consist of shaving or grinding a certain depth of the existing the pavement. This work is expected to take a little over a week to complete.

Traffic Delays - Milling operations will require alternating one-way traffic around the construction zone. Traffic control personnel will be present to maintain traffic flow. Motorists should anticipate traffic delays while traveling through the project and plan accordingly. Please allow for extra time in your travel plans.

All work on this project will be performed during daytime work hours. Typical work hours are between the hours of 6:00 am and 7:00 pm, depending on the weather.
