I think I might be almost done with my chore list from the last week of June... now it's time to start another one. Sigh. The revolving list seems to keep getting longer.
The pigs, chickens and turkeys are growing like weeds... and enjoying the weeds I keep removing from the garden. The garden is producing more than we can eat. Bags of produce are leaving in the cars of everyone that come to visit. The freezer is starting to get some use. The other night for dinner we had steak, zucchini, summer squash, onions and red potatoes. The only item on the plate that wasn't from the farm was the potatoes... but I guess they could have been because we just harvested some the other night. They are delicious!
The two of goats will soon need wide load signs... anticipated arrival dates for our new additions is August 15th. Look for pictures!
Last weeks post stated that Stoughton Pond was closed due to flooding. Of course, as soon as I wrote that, it was open again.
