The Town of Weathersfield, Vermont is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Town Accountant.
This is a permanent position working between 30 - 40
hours per week, Monday-Thursday, with excellent benefits, including
health care and retirement. The hours worked Monday-Thursday are
somewhat flexible as are the average number of hours worked per week.
Occasional attendance at night meetings is required, especially during
the fall budget preparation time.
The position is responsible for the
maintenance of the Town’s general ledger, reconciling accounts
receivable, payable, and payroll, and preparing the Town’s financial
documents.
Education, Experience, and Training Preferences: A
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or equally
pertinent field and two years experience at a professional level in
accounting or financial auditing work.Pay rate $22.00 - $24.50/hour depending on qualifications and experience.
