Results of Floor Vote at Town Meeting, Monday, March 3, 2014

Town of Weathersfield, Vermont
Warning for the Annual Town Meeting
Monday, March 3 and Tuesday, March 4, 2014

The legal voters of the Town of Weathersfield, Vermont, are hereby notified and warned to meet at the Weathersfield School, 135 Schoolhouse Road in Ascutney, in the Town of Weathersfield, Vermont, on Monday, the 3th day of March, 2014, at 7:30 P.M., to act on the following articles:

Article 1:        Shall the voters of the Town of Weathersfield accept the reports of the Town’s officers for the period from July 1, 2012, through June 30, 2013?     PASSED
Article 2:        Shall the voters of the Town of Weathersfield authorize the Select Board to borrow money, if necessary, to pay current expenses in anticipation of taxes in accordance with the provisions of Title 24, Section 1786, of the Vermont Statutes Annotated?     PASSED
Article 3:        Shall the voters of the Town of Weathersfield authorize the Select Board to expend such grant monies, gifts, or bequests which may be received by the Town of Weathersfield, in accordance with the terms of said grants, gifts, or bequests?     PASSED

Article 4:        To see if the Town of Weathersfield will vote to designate the Town of Weathersfield as a Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) District to enable participating property owners to access funding for eligible energy efficiency and renewable energy projects and then pay back the cost as a regular municipal assessment on that property owner’s property tax or other municipal bill as provided for by 24 V.S.A. Chapter 87 (Section 3261 et seq.) and authorize the Select Board to enter into an agreement with Vermont Energy Investment Corporation d/b/a Efficiency Vermont to operate the PACE program?     PASSED

Article 5          Shall the voters of the Town of Weathersfield authorize the Select Board to convey [sell] the 1879 Perkinsville School building and site in accordance with 24 V.S.A. 1061(b)?    DEFEATED
           
 Article 6:        To transact any other business deemed proper when met.     NONE
