Date: 03/01/2014 Location: Santa's Land in Putney Investigating Deputies: Corporal Melissa Martin, Deputy Trevor Dickerman Accused: Brian Deistler 24, and Lillian Billewicz 55 City & State of Residence: Westminster, Vermont Charges: Cruelty to Animals Description: On March 1, 2014, The Windham County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant at Santa's Land as part of an investigation regarding several deceased animals and suspected neglect of animals housed at the theme park. Based on the results of the search, Deistler and Billewicz were cited for cruelty to animals. The town of Putney animal control officer, Henry Farnum, is assisting with the investigation, which is still ongoing.
