Weathersfield, Vt. — Patricia Wilson Daniels, 72, passed away on Saturday July 4, 2015, at the hospice suite at the Mount Ascutney Health Center. She was surrounded by family and friends in the days leading up to her death, after courageously battling breast cancer.

Patricia was born in Denver, Colo., to Ronald and Christian (Caird) Wilson while the couple was stationed there during WWII. She grew up in Brattleboro, Vt., and graduated from BUHS, class of 1961. She was an active member of the class alumni. She enjoyed a very close relationship with her two sisters, Gail and Francis Speno of Brattleboro and Leslie and John McBride of Wilbraham Mass., throughout her life. She attended Northampton Commercial College, where she met her future husband and graduated in 1963.

In 1963, she married Anthony Daniels, of Weathersfield, Vt., and made a home on Goulden Ridge. They were married for 52 years, and have two children: Christian Panasuk with husband Michael of Tewksbury, Mass. and Douglas Daniels of West Dover .Vt. Pat and Tony have one beloved grandson, Cooper Wilson Daniels. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

Pat treasured her family above all else. She loved to socialize and travel with close and extended family encompassing the Wilson and Daniels connections. She also nurtured many friendships with neighbors and classmates throughout the last 50 years. Recently she became an honorary member of the Springfield High School Class of 1961, as a testament to the mutual love of Tony’s HS classmates. Tony and Pat loved to travel extensively with their restored antique car, and maintained many friendships with other enthusiasts.

Her professional career included her love of secretarial work and customer service. Later in her life she served in many administrative and leadership capacities in her community of Weathersfield. Highlights of this work included: Board of Listers, Zoning Administrator, Trustee of Martin Memorial Hall, and the elected Select Board for three terms. She served on the Weathersfield Fire Commission, and as a Justice of the Peace. She also loved managing the family rental properties in partnership with Tony.
