Ann D. Hamel, 85 of River Street died Saturday, February 25 at the Springfield Health and Rehab Center. She was born April 18,1931 in Bellows Falls, Vt. the daughter of Nicholas and Jovenina (Estrimonte) Romano.
She attended school in Bellows Falls and worked at the Duck Inn, the Windham Hotel Coffee Shop, Springfield Dry Cleaners and the McGirr’s Nursing Home.
On June 3, 1961 at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Bellows Falls, Vt. Ann married Charles E Hamel who survives. Also surviving are their three daughters Victoria of Bellows Falls, Jennie of Perkinsville and Valarie of Springfield. Ann has seven grandchildren Felicia, Michael, Melanie, Mark, Jamie, Desiree and Anne. She also has seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
There will be a funeral mass for Ann on Thursday, March 2 at 11 a.m. at the St. Charles Church in Bellows Falls, Vt. Followed by a burial in the St. Charles Cemetery in Westminster, Vt. The Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls ,Vt. will be handling the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ann’s name to Springfield Health & Rehabilitation Center, Springfield, Vt. 05156.
