Weekly News Letter from The Principal’s Corner
December 6, 2013

Old Fashion Christmas Caroling
Mr. Ramsey is taking K-3/4 classes to Cedar Hill on Tuesday, December 17th so the children can carol there.  We will be sending the bus from 9:30 am on, two classes at a time.  On Thursday, December 19, 2013 in the morning, Mr. Ramsey and Mrs. Oakman will be taking our chorus members to the Ascutney House to Christmas Carol.  We will be walking on the 19th, weather permitting.  Parents and community members are welcome to join us on both days!

Vermont Flag Flies at WS
When you drive up to our school, please notice that we are flying the US and Vermont flags from our tall flag pole, directly in front of our beautiful building.  The Vermont flag was donated to the school by Mr. and Mrs. Roland Whitney.  What a generous, kind and patriotic donation!  It is very much appreciated, Nat and Rolly!

 Volunteers Needed
Once again, the WS faculty and staff would like to have their annual Christmas Luncheon for one hour, (11 to noon) on Dec. 19th.  In order for this to happen, we must rely on the graciousness of volunteers to handle both student lunches and the recesses, (from 10:50 to noon).  Please call the school at 674-5400 if you are interested in volunteering on this special day.

Make It Take It Workshop
The annual Make It and Take It Workshop, sponsored by PTA, will be Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 1 to 3 pm at the school.  This is an opportunity for children to make fun and cute gifts for Christmas, FREE of charge.  The PTA has a sign up form for parents so we can have an estimate of how many children to buy crafts for and for permission to take children's pictures during the event.  The form went home in last week's Friday notices.  Please get it in to us asap.  If you need another one, call BJ at 674-5400.

December 13 Dance is Cancelled
