The
slide is on for this weekend...
The I-91 Northbound bridge over US Route 5 at Exit 11 in White River Junction will be replaced the weekend of August 28-31.
Contractor PCL has built the replacement bridge on temporary supports and will demolish the existing bridge and slide in the new bridge so the highway can re-open within 60 hours.
The highway will be closed at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 28 and reopen by 6 a.m. on Monday, August 31.
The closure will slightly delay travelers on I-91.
Motorists will exit the highway at the Exit 11 Off Ramp, cross Route 5 at the end of the ramp and go right back onto I-91 via the Exit 11 On Ramp.
