Lona I Proctor, 85

Lona I. Proctor, 85, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. Every summer the family would go to Seymour Lake for vacation, where she enjoyed fishing. She loved to teach her grandchildren at Christmas time how to bake and decorate Christmas cookies, her grandchildren still do this on Christmas Eve every year.

She is survived by one son, Floyd “Butch” Proctor and his wife, Laurie, of Rutland, Vermont; three daughters, Lonna Farrar and her husband, Steve, of Fairhaven, Vermont, Lynn Cram and her husband, Eric, of Weathersfield, and Loreen Billings and her husband, Edgar, of Baltimore, Vermont; one sister, Betty Lou Roy and her husband, Russell, of Weathersfield; sister-in-law Lucy Abare; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Earl; and one brother, Lloyd Partridge.

A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Contributions may be made in her memory to the Springfield Humane Society, 401 Skitchewaug Trail, Springfield, VT 05156.
