Program at Weathersfield VT Historical Society
Brown Girl Dreaming, winner of the National Book Award, the Coretta Scott King Award, and a Newbury Honor Book, will be the focus of a program on July 22nd at 1:00 pm at the Dan Foster House (across from the Meeting House on Weathersfield Center Road) off Route 131 or from Valley Street in Springfield.
Brown Girl Dreaming was chosen by the Vermont Humanities Council to be the Vermont Reads Book for 2017.
This program is jointly sponsored by the Weathersfield Proctor Library and the Weathersfield Historical Society.
It will focus on bibles, scrapbooks, genealogy, and many items from the Society’s permanent collection that are relevant to the book.
The program begins at 1:00 pm.
Copies of the book are available at Proctor Library.
