Fundraising for Alex Naccarato & Family
Alex Week – March 13, 2017- March 17, 2017
As most of you have probably heard Alex Naccarato, a former Weathersfield student, has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatment.
The Springfield High School Booster Club is coordinating several fundraising activities. Weathersfield School would love to join the campaign.
The student council and our service group are spearheading this effort.

We have declared March 13-17, 2017 as “Alex Week” here at WS. The Springfield Booster Club is selling T-Shirts, Hope Pins, and Bracelets to raise money for the family.
The student council has purchased 200 of the rubber bracelets which say, "Alex Strong" and "No One Fights Alone" on them for everyone to purchase and wear.
The plan is to sell them here at school all week during “Alex Week”.
We hope to offer fun events each day during that week, such as a Hat Day, where kids pay $1.00 to wear their hats all day in school.
On Friday, March 17th, we are planning our annual 8th grade vs faculty/staff basketball game from 1:15 to 2:15. The public is invited and donations will be accepted at the door. This is always a good time, with lots of antics and laughter!
From 4 to 6 pm that same evening, we are hosting a community Intergenerational Dance in the gym, with a delicious bake sale in the foyer.
All proceeds from these fundraising efforts will go to Alex and his family for his care.
Any remaining dollars will be donated to Childhood Cancer Lifeline in Alex’s name.
