Remembering Irene - 5 Years Later

5 years ago today the center of Irene was near the north coast of Hispaniola. While we are focused on the effects of Irene in Vermont and northern New York, the storm caused horrible damage elsewhere in the US as it raked the eastern coast with heavy rainfall and high wind from the Carolinas to New England.
