Here are a few things you can do to help make this event
successful – and help Vermont save energy, reduce people’s
financial energy burden and do something for climate change
• Help your friends, family or neighbor close/install storm windows.
• Help your friends, family or neighbor weatherstrip any leaky
doors and windows.
• Undertake a do-it-yourself improvement in your own home.
• Share energy efficiency benefits and information at a local event.
• Write to your local newspaper about the benefits of buttoning up
or harness social media to raise awareness.
• If you’ve retrofit your home and understand the value of
efficiency, host a home energy party and invite friends and
neighbors.
• Call a certified contractor and schedule an energy audit.
• Invest in a comprehensive weatherization improvement - an
investment that could save you 20-30% on your energy bill!
