Irene J.
Blake, 84, of Cemetery Road in Ascutney, VT died Monday (October 27) at
Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH following a brief
illness.
She was born in Claremont, NH on January 10, 1930 the daughter
of Frederick H. and Ida (DuBois) Breault and had been a lifetime area
resident.
She was a graduate of St. Mary High School, Class of 1948.
Irene had been employed by Atama Deltas Shoe Shop and later at Holson
Company. She later worked at Max’s
Country Village Market in Ascutney VT for nearly 32 years where she was
well known and well liked by everyone whose path she crossed.
She loved
to sit in front of her picture window and watch the many species of
birds in her yard.
Members of her family include a son, John Blake and
his wife, Apryl, Ascutney, VT; six grandchildren, Amber Blake, Ashley
Blake, Shawn Blake and his wife, Carol and their son, Kameron W. Blake,
Stephen Dauphin and his wife, Katy Millard, Jeff Dauphin and his
daughter, Kaya Paige, Josh Dauphin and his wife, Tracy and their
children, Mychael and NaToshya, , a brother, Donald Breault, Island
Pond, VT; a sister, Elaine Wendus, CT;, several nieces and nephews, and a
family friend, Michael Barrup.
She was predeceased by a sister Alice
Alexander.
Friends may call at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan Street,
Claremont, NH on Saturday, November 1st from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.
A
Memorial Service will be held at 12:00pm also on Saturday, with the Rev.
Mr. Paul Boucher of St. Mary Parish, officiating.
Following the
Memorial Service the family will be hosting a reception at Mr. G’s
Restaurant in Ascutney, VT for family and friends.
