Many came to know her charismatic personality through her long term employment as a Waitress at Idlenot Restaurant in the Springfield Plaza, which later became Friendly's. Later she worked at Downers Four Corner Store. Four wheeling, snowmobiling, sun worshipper, winter flip-flop wearer, elegant penmanship and a certain "spot on the hill" were just a few of her joys. She brightened everyones doorway she graced with deep character, genuine love and spunk. Like her Great Grandmother Emma C. Barr, she was made of strong character and fierce love.
She is survived by many friends and family who loved her deeply. Including her mother Dorothy "Joan" Barr, David Moore, her partner of 20 years, and her two daughters Heidi Adams and Melanie (Snide) LeBlanc. 8 Grandchildren, and 1 Great Grandson. Her 3 siblings, Elaine (Barr) Stocker, Julie Barr and Tom Barr. As well as nieces, nephews and cousins from Ludlow, to Woodstock, to Newport New Hampshire.
Calling hours will be at the Knights Funeral Home in Windsor VT Friday, May 5, 2017 from 6pm to 8pm.
Services will be held at the Brownsville Church on Saturday May 6th @ 11a.m, with a downstairs potluck to follow.
Her ashes will be laid to rest at the Ascutneyville Cemetery at a later date, followed by a small private Red Dress Memorial Ceremony at "the spot on the hill" near their residence.
Donations in her memory may be made to the West Weathersfield Fire Department.
