Tuesday, May 20, 12:00 noon, at Perkinsville Community Church Vestry.
The
speaker will be Jeannie Lindheim who founded the Hearts and Noses
Hospital Clown Troupe which has entertained over 50,000 children, and
supported hurricane evacuees of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
In
1996 she read Patch Adams' book "Gesundheit!" in which he said he takes
clowns to Russia, after which she went to Russia with Patch and decided
to create her own clown named "Bloopers". She
has also conducted many workshops for primary care and specialty
physician group on dealing with challenging patients and situations, and
communicating to patients with life-threatening Illness.
The potluck and program is open to the public (Everyone is invited). Bring a hot dish, salad or dessert. Beverages will be provided.
