The
Town of Weathersfield, West Weathersfield Volunteer Fire Department,
Ascutney Volunteer Fire Department and the landowners of 1335 Gulf Road
have teamed up to help improve fire safety in the Town of Weathersfield
by installing a new dry hydrant near the intersection of Gulf Road and
Plains Road.
This project was funded with help from the Vermont Rural
Fire Protection Task Force through the Northern Vermont Resource
Conservation and Development Council who help plan and develop water
supply improvements in Weathersfield and other Towns around Vermont.
The
Vermont Legislature appropriates money to this task force and council
to help improve fire protection in rural Vermont.
