Thrasher Road in
the Town of Weathersfield, Vermont, will be closed to through traffic at a point
just downhill from of its intersection with Victory Drive on Wednesday,
October 7 and Thursday, October 8.
The road closure
will allow the Town to replace an undersized culvert at the base of this
hill with a much larger culvert. This work is part of the Town’s
effort to lessen damage from flooding when torrential
rains fall on the southeast slopes of Ascutney Mountain during
thunderstorms.
Although the road
will be closed at this location, all homes on Thrasher Road will still
be accessible from either Route 131 or Route 5. Victory Drive will not be affected by this road closure.
