Solarize Weathersfield 2015!

WEATHERSFIELD is teaming up with the towns of CAVENDISH, READING and WINDSOR to challenge homeowners to participate in a program to GO SOLAR this summer and save money on the purchase and installation of a renewable energy system.

Solarize is a program coordinated by Vital Communities, a non-profit organization based in the Upper Valley. They have experience working with towns throughout the area to bring solar to the communities.

The 15-week campaign helps residents go solar. As more residents go solar the price goes down for everyone. The goal is, at least, to double the amount of existing solar in our community.

Weathersfield has approximately 20 residents with solar installations and the aim is to double the amount of Kilowatts.

The Weathersfield, Cavendish, Reading and Windsor team is just organizing and could use some volunteer help contacting homeowners and helping to publicize the program.

For more information leave a message at the Weathersfield Town Office - 802-674-2626 or call Julia Lloyd Wright, Energy Coordinator, Town of Weathersfield 802-674-5280
