Day Weekend is approaching and quite a few people will be on the water.
Use this week to make sure your vessel is current with Federal and State regulations.
Check the dates on flares (Yes, they do Expire).
Check your fire extinguishers, have 1 life jacket for each person, and don't exceed the vessel capacity placard.
This will prevent you from being sent back to port when stopped.
Another common mistake, your boat plug - make sure it's in.
Have a designated operator because the same rules apply on the water, you will be charged with a BUI.
