NOTICE OF OVERNIGHT WATER INTERRUPTION
beginning at 9:00 Wednesday night, May 6
and continuing
through 6:00 Thursday morning, May 7
The
water to all users on the Ascutney Fire District #2 water system will be
temporarily shut off for several hours beginning at 9:00 PM this coming
Wednesday night, May 6th.
The
purpose of the shutdown is to enable the contractor working on the water
system to replace the valves and meters within the water storage and
pumping building. This process may only be accomplished if the water is
shut off to the entire system.
The water
will be turned back on as soon as the work is complete. It is
anticipated that the water will be turned back on by 6:00 AM on Thursday
morning at the latest.
This valve
and meter work will not affect water quality. There is no need to boil
your water after the water is turned back on.
If for some reason the shutdown is postponed, an announcement will be made on the Town website: weathersfieldvt.org.
Please do
not hesitate to contact Fire District Manager Jim Mullen should you have
any questions or concerns and thanks for your patience.
