Be Extra Vigilant While Supervising Children at Parks or In Community - Police Have Concerns

Hartford Vermont Police Department

On May 5, 2015 the Hartford Police Department received a call from a concerned parent advising that an older male approached his 11 year old child in a suspicious manner while at Ratcliffe park in White River Junction, Vermont.

This male was later identified by Hartford Police the following day at Watson park, name withheld due to ongoing investigation.

Upon contact with police, the male had no reasonable explanation for his prior behavior, and again was acting extremely suspicious.

The Hartford Police Department would like to ask parents and community members to be extra vigilant while supervising their children at our local parks or in the community.

The older male is operating a 2007 silver Ford Fusion bearing Michigan plates.

Also on May 5, 2015 the Hartford Police Department had received a call earlier in the day of a silver sedan with a male operator acting suspiciously in a lewd manner in the Comfort Inn parking lot, but the vehicle was gone on police arrival.

Please immediately report any suspicious behavior to the Hartford Police Department (802) 295-9425
