Brattleboro police say an escaped prisoner from Vermont has been captured in Massachusetts.
Brattleboro police Captain Mark Carignan says 22-year-old Joseph
Arsenault was still handcuffed when officers last saw him at about 7:15
p.m Wednesday.
Bennington County Sheriff's deputies were
transporting Arsenault through Brattleboro when he fled east toward
downtown. Police haven't said how Arsenault managed to escape.
Arsenault is a white man, who has brown hair, weighs approximately 175
pounds, and is 6 feet, 2 inches tall. He was wearing a gray shirt and
green pants at the time of his escape.
Police are urging the public to stay indoors and make no attempt to contact or detain the suspect.
