Life Story for Phyllis J. Jarvis
Claremont, NH
Phyllis J. Jarvis, 65, of Roosevelt Road in Claremont, NH passed away Thursday (October 5) at DHMC in Lebanon, NH following a short but courageous fight with cancer.
She was born in Claremont, NH on October 22, 195. tTe daughter of Victor and Virginia (Dubuque) Jarvis and had been a lifetime area resident. She graduated from Windsor High School and attended Champlain College.
Phyllis had been employed as an insurance agent at area Insurance Companies. She was presently a bookkeeper for the family business, Jarvis and Sons in Ascutney, VT. One of her favorite jobs was when she was a stay at home mom. She was a member of the Ascutney Fire Department Auxiliary and always was there to help out in any way she could. She worked on the Ascutney Veteran’s Memorial chicken barbeque every year. She gave unconditionally to everyone she knew. 
The love in her heart was limitless and the smile you received in return will never be forgotten. She was the one to always bring the family together. She loved spending time at the ocean especially York Beach, Maine where her husband Pat and her had a seasonal camper for a few years. While at the ocean she enjoyed looking for sea shells and sea glass. She enjoyed going to New Orleans to the Mardi Gras, cruises, traveling, camping with friends and family, gardening, going to yard sales and craft fairs. She loved crafting and took pride in decorating her home. One of her favorite things to do was to attend her grandchildren’s school events.
Members of her family include her husband, Patrick Howe, Claremont, NH; her mother, Virginia Jarvis, Ascutney, VT; a daughter, Renee Kennett and her husband, Josh, Claremont, NH; three sons, Chad Howe and his wife, Shannon, Newport, NH; Shaun Howe and his wife, Shannon, Topsfield, MA; Matt Howe, Alliance, Nebraska; ten grandchildren, Meaghan, Katie, Emma, Allison, C.J., Ava, Leah, Gunnar, Matthew and Jaiden, three brothers, Victor Jarvis and his wife, Joann, Springfield, VT; Dwight Jarvis and his wife, Bonnie, Peter Jarvis and his wife, Judy, and a sister, Brenda Bulluss and her husband, Don, all from Ascutney, VT; a sister in law, Gloria Jarvis, Claremont, NH and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Victor Jarvis and a brother Donnie Jarvis. 
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday (October 10) at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan Street, Claremont, NH with the Rev. Mr. Paul Boucher of St. Mary’s Parish, officiating. Committal services will be held at a later date in Ascutneyville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
