Wayne L. Corliss, 71, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016, at his home in Chester.
He was born Sept. 2, 1945, in Hardwick, the son of Leroy and Vera (Fleming) Corliss. He attended Springfield schools. Mr. Corliss served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. On July 1, 1967, he married Linda Blanchard in Reading.
He was employed as an equipment operator with Pike Industries for over 26 years. Mr. Corliss was a member of American Legion Post 67 in Chester. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of Chester; three daughters Juanita Corliss of Hanover, New Hampshire, Melissa Riviezzo of Hartland and Tonya Herschel of Ascutney; seven siblings Craig and Gene Corliss, Linda Heath, all of Springfield, Ronald Corliss of Baltimore, Brian Corliss of Reading, Wendy Corliss of North Springfield and Sandy Robison of Claremont, New Hampshire; four grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Chris Corliss.
The celebration of life service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
