On 8/3/15, the Select Board of the Town of Weathersfield, Vermont adopted amendments to Section 8.c of the Weathersfield Hazardous Materials Response Ordinance (first adopted on 2/2/01, and as last amended on 12/16/10).
Section 8.c relates to reimbursement procedures.
The Ordinance as amended on 8/3/15 will become effective on the 10/3/15, sixty days after the date of its adoption by the Select Board, unless a petition is filed with the Town Clerk by 9/18/15, forty-four days after the date of its adoption.
The petition should be addressed to the Select Board, should be signed by at least five percent of the qualified voters of this municipality, and should ask for a special meeting to be called on the question of disapproving the Ordinance amendments.
