Forgot to file your Homestead and/or Property Tax Adustment?

Did you forget to file your VT Homestead Declaration and Property Tax Adjustment? 

 You want to do this every year to receive your adjustment on your property tax bill.  

Well, AARP Taxaide is sending a tax counselor to the Springfield Senior Center to help people who may not have realized you have to fill out special papers to get the deduction on your property taxes.  

Call the  Springfield Senior Center to set up an appointment.  

You do not have to be a member of the Center to receive this service, nor do you have to live in Springfield.  

AARP Taxaide is willing to help people in the surrounding communities as well.  

The tax counselor will be at the Center Monday, August 24th from 9 am until no one waiting!  

Call 802-885-3933 for an appointment - the State filing final deadline is October 15 and some towns are waiving any penalties if you file by the late filing deadline.
