Weathersfield, Vt. — Jean E.
Tremblay, 74, a resident of Weathersfield, passed away unexpectedly
Sunday morning, May 31, 2015, at her home in Weathersfield.
She was born Sept. 25, 1940, in Rutland, Vt.
the daughter of Robert and Mariam (Steere) Barber. She was raised in
Charlestown and received her schooling in Claremont. She graduated from
Stevens High School in 1958. She married Thomas Verboncoeur, and they
had four children. He passed away in 1968.
Jean married Jacques R. Tremblay in Windsor on
Aug. 25, 1973. She was employed at the former Hamel’s IGA in Windsor for
several years and later at the former P & C Supermarket also in
Windsor. She was a member of the Windsor American Legion Post #25
Auxiliary.
She enjoyed baking, playing cards, doing
crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She loved dogs, especially black
Labradors. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Jacques Tremblay
of Weathersfield; one son, William Verboncoeur of Windsor; three
daughters, Donna Mayo and her husband, John of Windsor, Brenda Gould of
Hartland and Tammy Conley and her husband, Dennis of Brownsville; three
grandchildren, Malori White, Hunter Mayo and Reid Mayo; one
great-grandson, William Jefferson; several nieces and nephews.
At her request a celebration of her life will be
held Saturday, June 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at her home at 787 Tenney
Hill Road in Weathersfield. Committal services will be held at the
convenience of her family in the Mt. View Cemetery in Claremont.\
