The verdict is in!
Or is that "verdicts?" We like to consult TWO different groundhogs on Groundhog Day . . . the famous Phil in Punxsutawney, PA and the not-so-famous one here in the North Country. He doesn't even have a name.

It was a split decision! Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow when there
was a brief break in the cloud cover at sunrise in western PA. So, he
is predicting 6 more weeks of winter.
But our nameless groundhog here in the North Country did NOT see his shadow - not with all this snow coming down. So, he is predicting that "spring is near," or "spring is right around the corner" (the groundhog can be even more vague than a human meteorologist!).
If we could name our groundhog up here in the North Country, what would you call him?
