...Winter Storm Watch in effect from Saturday evening through
Sunday morning...
The National Weather Service in Burlington has issued a Winter
Storm Watch...which is in effect from Saturday evening through
Sunday morning.
* Locations...the eastern Adirondacks and eastern Vermont...including
eastern Addison and eastern Rutland counties.
* Hazard types...a mix of snow and ice.
* Accumulations...snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches...with one
to two tenths of an inch of ice.
* Maximum snowfall rate...1 to 2 inches per hour...mainly early
Saturday night.
* Timing...light snow will develop from southwest to northeast
across the area Saturday evening...becoming moderate at times
through midnight. After midnight...precipitation will transition
to a mix of freezing rain and sleet by the pre-dawn hours before
changing to drizzle mid-morning Sunday.
* Impacts...hazardous travel conditions are possible due to snow
and ice covered roads. In addition...isolated to scattered power
outages are possible.
* Winds...southeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* Temperatures...highs in the lower 30s. Lows around 20.
* Visibilities...as low as a quarter mile in times in moderate
snow.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow...sleet...or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
